CAMP SSTAR!

Dylan received his acceptance to Camp SStar VIA email on Tuesday afternoon. He is pumped to say the least. This is the first year that he was accepted so it is going to be a learning experience for all of us! It is being held at Heart Spring in NE Wichita! The only draw back is that I will be driving him back and forth for that week but it will be worth it to see everything that he is learning and experiencing. The other bad part is the one vacation that we actually planned for this year is going to have to be canceled due to his camp. I just know through that this will be such a good experience for him that is worth it in the long run!

PRESCHOOL!

So this week has been filled with meetings for the kids! When is that not EVERY week. Last Friday Jason and I meet with the principal and the school psychologist and we discussed Dylan plan for the end of this year and what we are looking at for goals for next year! He still does not have an IEP on file or a 504 plan BUT they are making a Student Improvement Plan! they just don't seem to have the same concerns that Jason and I have. I am worried that I TO WORRIED and am over thinking it. Since he has been on the Strata for the past month I can tell a difference in some of his tests and his daily homework. I hope that means that it is helping him focus in class a little more each day!
On another note Tanner was officially RELEASED from his SPEECH IEP on Monday afternoon. when we had him tested last year he hardly even spoke but now he is doing so great! He will be entering the Early Childhood Program as a Peer ROLE Model! He has come so far in 2 years it is not like having the same little shy boy!
Emily also got an exciting phone call! She will be in the morning session at Derby Hills next year as well! She is super pumped to go to school and has already told me that she is going to get a Hannah Montana Purple and Pink Sparkly backpack for school and she will also need to get new tennis shoes for running!
The only problem that we are going to have to figure out is transportation for all of them. The mid day switch is going to be CRAZY!I will be dropping Emily and Dylan off in the AM. Then picking Emily up at 11:00 then coming back to the school to drop Tanner off at 12:00. Then coming back at 3:00pm and picking Dylan and Tanner up! GEEZ!!
This is where it is handy that both Jason and I have jobs in the same town that we live in and the kids go to school in!
I am so happy for all of them and we are all ready for summer to start so we can open the pool up and have some fun family time in the BACKYARD!
